The Enchanting Forest
The trail begins at the enchanting Fanal Forest, which is home to ancient laurel trees and an array of endemic flora and fauna. As you make your way through the forest, you’ll be greeted with stunning views of the rugged coastline and the surrounding mountains.
The trail then leads to the Paul da Serra plateau, which is a vast expanse of rolling hills and open meadows. Here, you’ll be able to take in panoramic views of the island’s interior, including the majestic Pico Ruivo, Madeira’s highest peak.
The highlight of the hike is the Assobiadores viewpoint, which offers breathtaking views of the lush green valleys and mountains of Madeira. This is an excellent spot to take a break, catch your breath, and snap some photos of the stunning scenery.

Should you need to cancel your reservation, you will only be refunded, should your cancellation be made at least until 16h00 of the previous day of the tour/walk.
Please prepare yourself with good walking shoes/boots and a warm coat (in case of low temperatures in the mountains).
For full day walk, please pack a pic nic and water to take along, as such is not provided by DG Travel.
